1890s HAND PIECED 9 PATCH QUILT TOP~ONE OF A PAIR!

This 9 Patch quilt top, one of a pair, from the 1890's is HAND PIECED using period cotton fabrics.  Each of the 1-1/2" squares have 3 bars of fabric just 1/2" wide with 4-3/4" square background blocks in several double pink prints.  Measuring 74" x 53", we found no rips, tears, stains or odors.  Be sure to see it's larger mate on eBay for a colorful pair!

ANTIQUE TIED PASTEL RAYON LOG CABIN QUILT

From the 1920's comes this Log Cabin Barn Raising pattern quilt, HAND PIECED using pastel rayon and crepe fabrics.  It measures 70" x 60" with a navy blue rayon back, which was brought around to the front and hand stitched to form the binding.  There is no quilting ~ the back is held to the front by red yarn ties at the corners of each block.  In clean condition, we find no rips, tears, stains or odors and just a couple places where the maker missed a stitch on the log pieces.  VERY GRAPHIC ~ WOULD MAKE A COLORFUL SOFA THROW!!

Vintage Pinwheels in Broken Stars Quilt Top


This 1950's top has 2 patterns in one ~ Broken Stars with Pinwheel centers!  HAND PIECED using scrap bag cotton prints, each block measures 12-1/4" square and is offset by butter yellow blocks.  The top measures 86" x 74" and has no rips, tears, stains or odors.  Would make a great finished quilt, or use it as is for a bed or table topper.

Vintage Patchwork Quilt Top


From the 1950's comes this HAND PIECED 9 Patch Chain quilt top using scrap bag cotton prints for the 1-1/4" squares and bright white cotton for the background.  It measures 92" x 82" and has no rips, tears or odors, just a couple storage spots as shown.  VERY COLORFUL!!

Antique Double Wedding Ring Top

This late 1920s/early 1930s Double Wedding Ring quilt top is HAND PIECED using cotton scrap bag prints (some from the 1890's) and solids for the rings (most just 3/4" wide at the largest end), rose & mint green solids for the cross pieces, and bright white cotton for the background.  Measuring 76" x 76" inside the scallops, we find no rips, tears, stains or odors, but one small hole (1-1/2" x 1/2") in the white as shown.  The hard part is already done - just add batting and quilting and you'll have yourself a fabulous quilt!!

Patriotic Window Pane Antique Doll Quilt


Lovingly made for a favorite doll, this Red, White & Blue Window Pane quilt is machine pieced using 2 blues & a red Chambray, as well as red & white ticking stripes, red & white gingham, and a small blue flower print on white.  Each of the 6 squares have 2 rectangles embroidered in either white with blue or navy with white cotton floss, and 2 X's in navy floss on the corners.  Measuring 17" x 12.5", it has a thin cotton batting and a light blue back.  The binding was made by bringing the backing fabric to the front and machine stitching in place.  PROFESSIONALLY HAND LAUNDERED, we found some spotting on the back only as shown, but no rips, tears, stains or odors.  A GREAT "COUNTRY" LOOK FOR YOUR DOLL OR BEAR!

Pink & White Pieced Antique Quilt Top w/Extra Fabric to Finish!

This is better than a do-it-yourself kit ~ the 1920's top has been HAND PIECED using a pink floral print on a pink & white plaid ground for the zig zag pieces with a creamy white block background, and a lilac-pink solid for the alternating blocks.  The top measures 76" x 68".  The maker also had the backing fabric (the same solid lilac-pink as the alternating blocks) assembled and ready to go.  It, too, measures 76" x 68".  All that's left for the buyer to do is put batting in, quilt it, and add a binding.  HOW MUCH EASIER COULD IT GET?!?!?!

7 Mariners Compass Quilt Blocks

Dating to the 1860's, these 7 Mariners Compass type quilt blocks are HAND PIECED using period fabrics in both prints and solids for the pieces and white cotton for the background.  2 of the blocks have sawtooth edges.  The 2 blocks with edges measure 15-1/2" across, and the other 5 measure 13" across.  In "as found" condition, there are a couple storage spots as shown.  HARD TO FIND these early quilt blocks in any condition!!

Antique Hole in the Barn Door Quilt


This Hole in the Barn Door quilt top from the 1920's is HAND PIECED using red, white & blue prints as well as black & white prints, stripes and brown gingham checks.  The top measures 81" x 73" and is pieced with like blocks in rows ~ brown blocks on the bottom followed by 2 rows of different blue & white prints, and a center row of Cadet blue prints, with a red & white print for the sashing.  This would make a super graphic quilt, or hem it and use it as a table or bed topper.


Vintage Alligator Purse Item #19992    $65

Vintage Alligator Purse


From the 1940's/1950's, this alligator clutch bag has a closed mouth alligator head centered on the front flap complete with glass eyes.  Inside are 3 compartments (the center one has a zipper closure) and a thin pocket on both the front and back.  The sections of alligator hides are hand sewn with leather stitching which has come undone in many places on the outside edges and needs resewn.   My mother had a similar one which kept me occupied during church services when I was a small child!

From the 1920's comes these 6 machine pieced Flying Geese quilt blocks.  Each block has a period cotton print for the geese, white cotton for the background, and measure 10-1/2" square.  We see a couple light storage spots, but no rips or tears.  Use them to make pillows, handbags, or a crib quilt.
